In 2002, the bank started its microfinance operations under the Kapit Bisig Program in order to intensify its efforts in poverty alleviation by catering to the entrepreneurial poor. On September 2003, the bank received the Plaque of Recognition and Appreciation from Philippine Credit Finance Corporation for having successfully extended microfinance services to 12,204 marginalized loans in Zambales, Pampanga and Bataan. On August 29, 2008, Zambank was awarded a Plaque of Recognition as Best CFI Intermediary for CY 2007by Land Bank of the Philippines for being one of its most effective and active partners in countryside credit delivery, thereby helping fast track progress for the benefit of its clients and the communities it serves.
On August 27, 2010, Land Bank of the Philippines awarded Zambank as Best CFI Availer- Agri-Agra Loans. Zambank was also declared as Regional Winner for Region III and 2nd Place for National Levelfor being LANDBANK�s outstanding CFI-partners who have significantly contributed in the delivery of credit in the countryside. On August 24, 2011, Zambank once again received awards as Best CFI Availer- Agri-Agra Loans of LANDBANK�s outstanding CFI partners. Zambank was also acknowledged as Regional Winner for Region III and 5th Place for National Level for being outstanding CFI-partners. Zambank is headed by a management team which boasts of decades of rural banking experience.
