  1. Make sure you protect your mobile device with Internet security software up-to-date.
  2. Use only official applications of mobile banking provided by the bank (eg Westpak Mobile Banking and Pingit GIB) and only download applications from the official store app.
  3. Set a password or a PIN to lock your laptop - remember not to use password or PIN that is easy for someone to guess.
  4. Do not tell anyone the safety data and not store them on your mobile device in a way that could be recognized by someone else.
  5. Change your password or PIN immediately if you suspect anyone else may have had access to it.
  6. Never divulge your PIN, passwords, codes or PINsentry full details of security in response to a call, email or text.
  7. When around, think about whether the Wi-Fi is safe before using mobile banking.
  8. Always make sure you log out of your account when you're done.
  9. Ensure your bank has your cell phone number up-to-date so that they can talk to you if you detect unusual or suspicious activity on your account.
